12th ANNUAL PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST

Ten teams turned ordinary pumpkins into show-stopping creations filled with spooky charm, intricate designs, and a few surprises!

PROJECT PROGRESS AT PASEO: A 48-STORY MIXED-USE RESIDENTIAL TOWER IN AUSTIN, TEXAS

The project reimagines an infill site along Rainey Street in Austin, Texas, into a 48-story mixed-use tower designed in such a way as to invite and engage the public. Follow the project’s construction journey!

KENNETH DEMUTH, AIA, CELEBRATES 40 YEARS AT PH

Ken DeMuth is celebrating an impressive four decades with PH, having joined the firm in 1984 as its 7th employee. This pivotal position earned him the affectionate nickname “007” among his colleagues. Ken’s architectural passion centers on adaptive reuse and historic renovation, particularly focusing on transforming downtown office buildings into residential and mixed-use functions.

TWO PH PROJECTS RECOGNIZED AT THE 2024 RE JOURNAL REAL ESTATE AWARDS

We’re pleased to share that two PH projects have been recognized at the 2024 Illinois RE Journals Real Estate Awards! Onni Fulton Market was awarded in the “Multifamily – Fulton Market/West Loop” category and Peabody School Apartments received recognition in the Redevelopment / Reuse / Historic – Multifamily” category.

PEDRO ALBIZU CAMPOS APARTMENTS CELEBRATE PROJECT COMPLETION WITH RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY

The project reimagines a vacant corner lot at California Ave and Division Street into a 9-story apartment building providing 64 affordable units for families and residents of Humboldt Park. On May 17th, City and Congressional dignitaries and community leaders attended the ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of the building.

TIMOTHY KENT, AIA, CELEBRATES 30 YEARS AT PH

Tim Kent is marking an extraordinary 30-year tenure at PH. As a partner in the firm, his work showcases his dedication to urbanist principles across a range of project scales that include complex masterplans and high-rise mixed-use developments.

STEVEN REZABEK, AIA, RETIRES FROM POSITION AS PARTNER AFTER 37 YEARS AT PH

It is with great honor and pride that we announce the retirement of Steven Rezabek, AIA, from his position as Partner at Pappageorge Haymes Partners (PH) after an impressive 37 years with our firm and a remarkable 40-year career as an architect.

2023 PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST

It’s our much-anticipated Annual PH Pumpkin Carving Contest! Eight teams submitted their inspiring pumpkin entries this year as well as a special pumpkin entry from our Austin, Texas Office. Find out who this year’s winners are!

SCHOOL TO RESIDENTIAL: MOTLEY SCHOOL APARTMENTS

Built in 1884 for the Chicago Board of Education, the Motley School is a historic four-story brick and wood building whose former classrooms, offices, and gymnasium have been converted to 34 residential apartments.

SCHOOL TO RESIDENTIAL: PEABODY SCHOOL APARTMENTS

The Elizabeth Peabody Public School was designed by the Chicago Board of Education architect W. August Fiedler and constructed in 1894. Following the closure of several Chicago Public Schools in 2013, Peabody School was sold through a public auction with a redevelopment plan to transform the historic structure into 23 apartments with a rooftop deck.

SOFIA RAMOS HEADS TO AUSTIN, TEXAS!

Sofia Ramos has relocated to Austin, Texas, to join PH’s Austin Office, where she will provide support for ongoing projects and business development efforts in Texas.
