Rising 26 stories high on a narrow mid-block site in Chicago’s South Loop is a new mixed-use hotel building including retail space on the ground floor, parking, office, and amenities. The hotel features 270 hotel rooms, styled as apartments intended for extended stays, in studio, one, and two-bedroom suite configurations. The fully-glazed tower rises above the adjacent brick-clad buildings featuring two-toned glass in reference to the Roosevelt University tower across the street. Despite the hotel building’s height and modern aesthetics, the building does not compete for attention with its neighbors but rather seeks to capture its surroundings through reflections.
