Columbia Place derives its name from the former industrial business whose building once occupied much of the site. The 63 townhomes and 16 single family home lots, constructed on this 4-1/2 acre site provide much needed critical mass and stability to a neighborhood rapidly transitioning from manufacturing uses to a much sought after residential neighborhood. Eight unique townhome designs were created, ranging from 2 to 4 stories in height and 1,600 s.f. to 5,400 s.f. in area, offering a variety of options to a broad range of prospective buyers. Building exteriors include a stone base, facebrick with extensive limestone trim, brick corbels and metal clad box bay windows. Site design features include landscaped common courts, fenced private yards, and colored and stamped concrete pavements. Arched passageways from the surrounding public street invite easy access through the townhomes to the newly created public park within the development.
