The unique program for the historic redevelopment of the former Lyman Trumbull Elementary School to residential uses envisions the preservation and conversion of the existing first floor auditorium. Designed by one of the city’s most famous Chicago Board of Education architects, Dwight Perkins, the building’s massive block form and towering walls punctuated with deep vertical window reveals, exemplify the influence of the progressive Prairie School movement of the time.
