On staff at Pappageorge Haymes Partners (PH) since 1999, Liz has delivered experienced design, project management and construction administration on low-rise, mid-rise and high-rise multi-family residential, single family, office interior and innovative urban planning projects. Additionally, she offers specialized expertise in affordable housing projects of varying size and scope.
As senior project architect, her unique aptitude for managing both the design and technical aspects of a project, together with her intensely collaborative creative approach, ensure continuity in management, design, production and construction oversight, while fostering meaningful client relationships. Award-winning Chicago projects include: the Pomeroy Apartments; a LEED® Platinum certified renovation and adaptive re-use of a vintage limestone and masonry building into 105 premier affordable senior apartments, and Park Douglas; a 19-building infill mixed-income development that includes 137 rental residences and a LEED® Gold certified Management Building - each part of the Chicago Housing Authority’s (CHA) historic Plan for Transformation.
Other major work includes: Dearborn Tower; a conversion of a cold storage warehouse into a 312-unit residential building, The Edge Lofts and Tower; a residential conversion of an industrial/office building and new tower construction, Hartland Park; an 80-unit luxury townhouse development in the West Lincoln Park neighborhood, and Chicago Housing Authority’s Program for Accessibility and Life Safety Renovation at multiple locations throughout the city.
Early in her career, Liz worked as a project manager/designer at First Chicago Corporation, Chicago, Illinois, on commercial design and facilities management projects, and later focused on single-family and multi-family residential work at Metropolis Architects & Builders, Ltd., Oak Park, Illinois, before joining PH.
